The UN has good reason to use Gandhi’s birthday to celebrate International Day of Non-Violence. Gandhi’s commitment to India’s independence and dedication for India's Freedom.


Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi was born on 2 October 1869, in Porbandar, India, Gandhi studied law and organized boycotts against British institutions in peaceful forms of civil disobedience.
